We will use any personal data communicated by you via our website (title, name, address, e-mail address, tel. no., fax no. and other personal details) for corresponding with you and solely for the purpose for which the data was provided. If you have subscribed to the pilot newsletter, we will use your personal data to inform you about recent developments and trends from the world of media. You may object to the use of your personal data at any time (Section 5). In no event will your data be disclosed to uninvolved third parties. Your personal data shall be disclosed to third parties where this is necessary for achieving the purpose for which you communicated your data (Section 6, Contract data disclosure).
All visits to our websites and the paths taken through our websites will be recorded. The volume of data retrieved, the page(s) viewed, the date and time of the request, the access method used, the access status of the web server, the protocol used, the browser version and the current IP address of the person accessing the data are recorded. This data is anonymised and cannot be traced back to you personally. This non-personal data is collected, processed and used in anonymised form for statistical purposes and for the purpose of optimising our website.
Please note that this website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files, which are stored on your computer and allow us to analyse how you use the pilot website. The information collected by the cookie on your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate how you use the website, to compile reports on site activities for the website operators and to provide further services relating to the use of the website and the Internet. Google will also forward this information to third parties if necessary, insofar as this is legally stipulated or insofar as third parties process this data on behalf of Google. On no account will Google link your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, however we must point out that, in this case, not all functions of this website may be available to you in their full capacity. By using this website, you thereby consent to the processing of your personal data collected by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose specified above.
Non-personal data will be recorded by The ADEX GmbH (“Adex”) for the identification of digital end devices (e.g. computers, laptops, smartphones, tablet PCs), which have already been interacted with previously online. End devices, for example, can be detected through the use of non-personal data. Where a link is established through the use of non-personal data, this only refers to the digital end device and not to a directly identifiable individual as it is generally impossible to determine who is using a certain end device at a certain time. With Adex, non-personal data relating to the surfing habits of a user on the web will be collected and processed by us. This data is collected for general purposes of analysis and research.
Non-personal data includes information such as the Internet browser used, the installed operating system, the domain name, visited websites and information on a website being viewed by a user. Non-personal data is collected through cookies, pixels and related technology which are managed by our business partners. A cookie is a file in your browser that clearly identifies your browser. As the use of a browser by one single user can be realistically ruled out, we refer to ‘browsers’ rather than ‘users’. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly, however we must point out that, in this case, not all functions of this website may be available to you in their full capacity. By using this website, you thereby consent to the processing of your personal data recorded by Adex in the manner described above and for the purpose specified above.
Personal data communicated to us for one of the purposes stated in Section 2 will be retained in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods in their currently valid version, and subsequently deleted.
The Internet is generally considered to be an unsafe medium. Compared to a telephone line, for example, it is easier for unauthorised third parties to intercept, record or even change data transmitted on the Internet. The pilot group relies on up-to-date technical and organisational safety measures to protect the data provided to us from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised parties. Our security measures are constantly revised in line with technological advancements. Your data is stored on our servers within the Federal Republic of Germany.
The use of your e-mail address, your telephone and/or mobile number and your fax number for the purpose of advertising or market research and opinion polls requires separate consent on your part, which you may revoke at any time with effect for the future.
The notice of revocation can be sent informally by post to pilot Hamburg GmbH & Co. KG, Neue Rabenstraße 12, 20354 Hamburg, Germany, or by e-mail to the electronic account firstname.lastname@example.org at any time.
Where the pilot group engages service providers to carry out and complete processing, the contractual relationships shall be structured in accordance with the regulations of the German Federal Data Privacy Act, in particular the provisions of Section 11 of the German Federal Data Privacy Act. Our service providers shall be monitored by the pilot group for compliance with these provisions and the contractual agreements.
Upon written request we will inform you, in accordance with applicable law, if we are storing any of your personal data and, if so, what particular data is being stored and to whom this data has been disclosed. This is based on your right to information in accordance with Section 34 of the German Federal Data Privacy Act.
The pilot group undertakes to comply accordingly with the items listed above relating to data protection and has for this purpose appointed an in-house Data Protection Officer to enforce the regulations in accordance with the currently applicable laws and to ensure that these are complied with.
